WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A teenage girl is dead after a fatal crash in Wichita on Saturday.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 135 at Kellogg.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Chevrolet Equinox was driving northbound on I-135 when it left the road for an unknown reason and struck a bridge pillar.

There were two teens inside the vehicle: a 16-year-old male driver and a 14-year-old female passenger.

The boy was transported to a local hospital with suspected serious injuries. The girl, who was later identified as Belayna Garlen Amaya, died at the hospital.
