RED HOOK, N.Y. — A Red Hook woman was injured in a two-car crash on South Broadway at the intersection of Garden Street on Friday, according to a press release from Red Hook police.

The release said at around 2:28 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, Red Hook police were dispatched to a report of a two-car crash with injuries.

Police said a 2006 Buick, driven by an 87-year-old Red Hook man, was traveling east on Garden Street approaching South Broadway. Police said the man “hit the gas instead of the break causing the vehicle to proceed through the intersection.”

The Buick struck head on with a 2017 Chrysler that was northbound on South Broadway, driven by a 38-year-old Red Hook woman.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Northern Dutchess Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The man
