SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

One person was taken to a local trauma center after they became trapped underneath downed power lines at a park in South Park Township on Sunday.

In a post from the Broughton Volunteer Fire Department, officials responded to reports of a pedestrian trapped under wires at Evans Fields. Advertisement

When officials arrived, they said one person was found under multiple downed power lines caused by a fallen tree.

The post said medics were able to stabilize the individual until the power was shut off. First responders were able to free them and take them to a local trauma center for treatment.

Their current condition remains unclear.
