EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - One non-profit braved the strong winds today to help find homes for dogs.
The non-profit Save the Dogs was founded back in February.
The non-profit has hosted events every week since April, and they say they have been able to help more than 50 dogs.
Today they spent the afternoon at the Pet Supplies Plus on south Green River Road.
Officials with the non-profit say they want people to prioritize adoption over breeding, and to get all pets spayed or neutered.
They also say they have foster programs where all you have to do is provide a home, and they will provide food, vet visits, and most other expenses for pets
