WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A Kansas mom hosted a gala Saturday to raise money for suicide prevention programs in schools, honoring her late daughter, Remington Hope Young.
Amy Young, President and Co-founder of Love Like Remi Foundation, created the organization to honor her daughter, who died by suicide in 2022.
"I don't want my daughter to be the girl who took her life, I want her to be the person that saves them," Young said.
The goal of the gala was to raise money to put suicide prevention programs in as many schools as possible.
