GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A bar and grill in downtown Greenville said a man shot himself in the leg while sitting at a table.

City Tavern, located at 128 N. Main St., said the man was sitting at a table enjoying games with a friend when the firearm in the man’s pocket accidentally fired.

“We are extremely grateful that no one else was injured and that the situation was quickly contained,” City Tavern wrote on Facebook Sunday. “Our deepest thanks go out to the guests and community members who acted swiftly to provide immediate assistance until emergency personnel arrived.”
