HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A Connecticut state senator is facing criticism after posting a photo at a ‘No Kings’ rally on social media.

Senator Saud Anwar, who represents District Three, posted the picture on Saturday while attending a rally as part of a nationwide protest of the Trump administration.

The sign he held reads “Cholesterol, do your job.”

Republican Senate Leader Stephen Harding responded to the post in a statement to Channel 3.

“Disgusting. Hateful. CT Senate Democrats must immediately remove Sen. Saud Anwar as Chair of the legislature’s Public Health Committee. And Gov.
