AUSTIN (KXAN) — Firefighters were called to More Home Slice Pizza on South Congress Avenue Sunday evening after reports of smoke coming from the building.

In a post on X, the Austin Fire Department said crews arrived at the restaurant, located at 1421 S Congress Ave., around 7:20 p.m. and found a fire near the pizza oven, where heat had built up in a concealed area around the exhaust system.

Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported, and crews remained on site to ensure the area was safe before clearing the scene.
