MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Flames consumed a Cordova shopping center around 10 a.m. Saturday, destroying the building.

The cause of the fire at Fischer Steel Road and Germantown Parkway is still unconfirmed. No one was injured.

The Total Woman Experience hair salon is boarded up, one of a few businesses in the shopping center that won’t be able to return to business for months.

The mother and daughter duo that own it and they are really hoping that community can come together and help them out. Sasha Coleman says she was in her salon when the fire broke out.

“I didn’t notice it was a fire until I started to choke a little bit and when I looked up, I realized the salon was foggy which is what alerted me that something was wrong,” she said.
