MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Moms were on a mission Sunday, coming together and calling for change when it comes to gun violence.
The first Moms on a Mission meeting was incredibly emotional. For nearly two hours these moms sat down and shared the stories about gun violence and the children they have lost.
One of those moms in attendance was RowVaughn Wells, the mother of Tyre Nichols, who spoke about just how hard it was to grieve after her son was murdered at the hands of Memphis Police officers in 2023.
Wells shared that she tried countless therapists, but the only thing that worked was speaking to other moms who understood the pain of losing a child.
These moms had spent time thinking about the root causes of gun violence and potential solutions.
