The Toronto Blue Jays are still alive.

Facing off in one of the biggest games — if not the biggest game — in over three decades for the franchise, the Blue Jays willed themselves on to 6-2 win push the American League Championship Series to a winner-take-all Game 7 against the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.

“These guys are really good at getting prepared every day. There’s no other way to go about it. But they understand the magnitude of it,” Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters before the game.

The Blue Jays got a bit of help from the long ball on Sunday night.

Addison Barger hit a two-run home run in the third inning and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a solo shot in the fifth that was his sixth of both this year’s postseason and his playoff career, tying him with Joe Carter
