Disturbance, civil matter: Lander Road

Officers responded to a dispute at Huntington Bank on Oct. 16, where a Beachwood woman wanted to complete a $375,000 wire transfer of funds to her Woodmere-based jewelry business.

When that wasn’t happening after cautious bank staff froze the account of her customer, a Mayfield Heights woman -- also on hand for the transaction -- the business owner remained in the lobby demanding payment.

It took about two hours, but officers mediated the situation after the jewelry broker threatened at one point that they were going to have to arrest her if the bank refused to transfer the money.
