ATLANTA — A 21-year-old was found dead on I-75 on Saturday night following a road rage shootout, Atlanta Police and Georgia State Patrol said.
According to GSP, it began between a sedan and a Ford truck when the sedan "made contact with the rear right side of the Ford."
Both vehicles stopped on the right shoulder, GSP said, and the driver of the sedan got out and began walking toward the Ford.
"Gunfire was exchanged between both drivers," a GSP statement said. The driver of the sedan then fell into a lane on the interstate, and was hit both by an unidentified vehicle (which fled the scene) and an APD patrol vehicle traveling in the lane.
It's unclear whether the gunfire, the collisions or a combination of the two resulted in the 21-year-old's death.
