EXCLUSIVE: Game Show Network has decided on putting 100 Choices into development.
The cable channel is working with Extracted and On Brand with Jimmy Fallon producer B17 Entertainment to create a U.S. version of the Japanese comedic family format.
Tokyo-based FANY Studios and B17 parent Sony Pictures Television , which has international distribution rights, unveiled the development today. Given that Game Show Network is also a Sony-owned business, the deal is something of a family affair.
The show sees a a group of contestants faced with one question and 100 possible answers. If they can answer correctly, they win a large cash prize, but the question is nearly impossible to answer, so the they take on five physical challenges that allows them to eliminate some of the choice
