In the heart of Myanmar, 10-year-old Mai Phyu lives in a Buddhist household with her parents, grandmother, and younger sister. Her family loves her, but life hasn’t always felt safe. Mai Phyu often feared her alcoholic father, whose unpredictable behavior left her feeling anxious and vulnerable.
