EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State head football coach Jonathan Smith is holding his weekly press conference on Monday, recapping the Spartans’ loss to No. 2 Indiana and previewing the upcoming matchup vs. No. 25 Michigan.
Saturday’s 38-13 loss to Indiana marked Michigan State’s fourth straight loss and dropped the Spartans to 3-4 on the year and 0-4 in Big Ten play.
Michigan is holding down the final spot in the AP Top 25 after a 24-7 win over Washington on Saturday to improve to 5-2 and 3-1 in the conference.
The Wolverines have won three straight over Michigan State, including a 24-17 win in Ann Arbor last year.
Michigan State’s last win in the rivalry was a 37-33 victory in East Lansing in 2021.
Michigan leads the all-time series 74-38-5.
