A one-vehicle collision in East Lothian saw emergency services in attendance on Monday morning as a female driver was reportedly freed from a van by the fire service.

At around 9.45am, a van flipped into a field on the outskirts of Tranent on the B6731. Images from the scene show the vehicle on its side with police, paramedics and fire crews on the scene.

The female driver of the van was checked over by paramedics at the scene. Her condition is not currently known.

According to residents, she was 'cut out of the vehicle through the roof of the vehicle'. Images from the scene also show what appears to be the roof of the vehicle missing.
