UPDATE: An early morning outage of Amazon Web Services disrupted many internet services Monday.
About 5:30am, some services appeared to be operational once again, but users can expect some service level variations until full service returns
By about 6:35am Monday, Amazon said that the database problme that caused the outrage had been "fully mitigated" but warned that there may still be delays to users.
Amazon Web Services is cloud-based, and powers a variety of web-based systems, such as Ring camera security systems, SnapChat and even McDonald's app.
Media and news sites such as Disney and the New York Times were also affected.
The outrage has also affected some airlines.

The outage happened just before 3:00
