A pair of comets are approaching Earth in what experts are calling a rare cosmic spectacle, according to Space.com.

Beginning Monday afternoon, comet Lemmon will pass about 56 million miles from Earth, while comet Swan will soar even closer, at roughly 24 million miles. Both comets are expected to peak in brightness between Monday and Tuesday.

A live stream of the event, beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, is being provided by The Virtual Telescope Project and Astronomer Gianluca Masi on the group’s website and YouTube channel .

Comet Lemmon was discovered in January and has been steadily brightening, currently visible with binoculars or small telescopes in the western evening sky after sunset.

Comet SWAN was discovered in September by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory
