MACON, Ga. — The end of daylight saving time is in two months , and the shorter days could actually work in your favor.
The earlier sunsets will begin Nov. 2, and the shortage of daylight might not be all bad– if you’re ready for it.
Johns Hopkins says that later sunsets in spring and summer are actually disruptive to our natural rhythms , so earlier sunsets could leave you more energized when you know how to take advantage of them.
“We function best when our sleep-wake cycle follows the sun,” Dr. Adam Spira, mental health professor at Johns Hopkins says. “We get sleepy, due in part to melatonin release, when it gets dark.”
