CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Canyon Police Department released more information regarding the bomb threat at the Canyon Walmart on Oct. 17.

According to the Canyon Police Department, officers responded to the Canyon Walmart at approximately 5:20 p.m. on a bomb threat. Officals stated that a written threat had been located by an employee which was then reported to the police.

Officals added that officers arrived and began working with Walmart managment to determine the crediblity of the threat. Authorites invovled agreed to not evacaute the store, according to officals, and conducted a thorough walkthrough of the location with Walmart employees. Security footage was also reviewed by the officers on scene.
