Gautier Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and three others injured Saturday evening at the College Villa Apartments, 2726 Ladnier Road.

Officers were called around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, after an altercation inside an apartment led to multiple shots being fired, according to GPD. Three people inside the unit were struck. A fourth victim in a neighboring apartment was hit by a bullet that traveled through the wall.

Police said two victims were taken by ambulance and two others arrived at hospitals by private vehicle. An 18-year-old male from Gautier died at the hospital. The other victims are a 15-year-old male from Gautier, an 18-year-old male from Ocean Springs, and a 31-year-old female from Gautier. Their conditions were not immediately released.
