HOWLAND, Maine (WABI) - The town of Howland will hold a public informational meeting on rodent management Monday evening.

The presentation will be hosted by Hillary Peterson and will follow the Board of Selectmen meeting at 6PM.

Peterson is an Integrated Pest Management Specialist and Entomologist with the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

At a meeting last month, the board discussed ongoing issues with a significant rat infestation problem in the town.

Residents expressed concerns about health risks and property damage.
