Police said the 35-year-old man got out of the vehicle, and “appeared to be upset with the pedestrian,” then returned to his vehicle to flee the scene.
After “numerous” tips from the public, RCMP charged the man on Sunday, but could not release his name because the information has not been sworn.
The man will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Airdrie on Dec. 11.
