MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - The search continues for a missing Middlebury student.

The Middlebury Police say Lia Smith, 21, was reported missing around 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

The senior from California was last seen in a campus building on Friday night at around 9 p.m.

Police say searches have included the use of drones, and investigators are still working to identify additional potential search areas.

In a post, school officials say they are working closely with police and have been in touch with Smith’s family and friends to “offer support and learn all we can about the student’s recent activities and whereabouts.”
