North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP is asking the public to keep an eye out for a grandfather and grandson who were recently reported missing.

Norman Lecoy, 42, is from Winnipeg but was last seen on Sept. 19 in the North Cowichan/Duncan area. RCMP says he may be travelling to Winnipeg.

His grandson, Zidane Wavey, was also last seen on Sept. 19, and RCMP says it is believed the pair are together.

The pair were reported missing on Oct. 17.

Lecoy is described as an Indigenous man, 5’7″ tall with black hair and brown eyes.

Wavey is described as an Indigenous six-year-old with brown hair and brown eyes.

RCMP says police are concerned for the pair’s health and well-being.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
