CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – We have a traffic alert for drivers who use the U.S. 52 James River Road overpass bridge, just off Interstate 64 Exit 6 in Huntington.
Beginning Thursday, Oct. 23 and again on Friday, Oct. 24, there will be closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both U.S. 52 North and South for asphalt paving, milling and final striping, according to the West Virginia Department of Transportation.
The agency stated, “During the closure, traffic will follow the posted Temporary Detour route signs, which utilizes US-60 and I-64 Exit 15 (29th Street). After completion of this work, James River Road Overpass Bridge will reopen with no change to the current traffic pattern.”
Drivers are urged to be extra careful in the work zone, as well as any others.
