BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A web page credited with dramatically improving the health of many local Black enterprises was recently recognized by New York State.
Support Black Business 607 was given the Empire Award by Senator Lea Webb. The award is the highest honor bestowed by the State Senate on businesses that have made significant contributions to their communities.
Established by Sulaiminah Burns in 2020, Support Black Business 607 serves as a place where Black businesses can advertise their products and services and where would-be customers can make inquiries. It has since grown to nearly 8,000 members.
