NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) — A new four-part PBS docuseries exploring Rhode Island's marine habitats and wildlife is currently in production.
"Ocean State" is being directed by Tomas Koeck and produced by Silent Flight Studios with Ocean State Media.
The Atlantic Shark Institute (ASI), the Block Island Maritime Institute, the Connecticut Audubon Society and the Nature Conservancy are serving as partners on the project.
"'Ocean State'" highlights the fragile ecosystems that make Rhode Island unique. Each episode explores a distinct marine habitat ... revealing the intricate relationships that sustain life along the state's coastline," ASI said in a press release.
The series is slated to premiere on PBS Rhode Island in December, with seasonal installments being released through 2027. The
