SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — A threat circulating online referencing plans to shoot up a local school district has been deemed non credible by authorities.
According to Clyde-Green Springs Schools, the district had been made aware of an anonymous threat on Snapchat referencing a plan to "shoot up" McPherson Middle School and Clyde High School on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
According to the district's social media page, officials were informed that similar posts were made about "other area schools."
At this time, the district does not believe the threat is credible, but local law enforcement is actively investigating. The district noted that out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence at all district buildings on Tuesday.
The district also stated that families who choose
