(WYMT) - October 19 marked 40 years on the air for WYMT.
All this week at 6 and 11, we are looking back on memorable news, weather and sports moments from the past four decades.
Monday at 11, we looked back on the 1989 presidential inauguration of George H.W. Bush. WYMT made the trip to Washington D.C. that year to cover the Harlan Boys Choir and the Hazard and Corbin marching bands participating.
In our top weather events, number nine was the late season snowstorm that dumped one to three feet of snow on the region in April, 1987.
In sports, we remembered the Pikeville Panthers winning three consecutive Class A state championships from 1987-1989.
