In the 2020 NBA draft, the Boston Celtics used their No. 14 overall pick to select an athletic wing out of Vanderbilt. Just two seasons later, the Celtics traded him to the Indiana Pacers in a deal that sent Malcolm Brogdon to Boston. Now, the player in question, 26-year-old two-way stud Aaron Nesmith, has signed a $40.4 million contract extension with the Pacers.

While Nesmith didn’t carve out a role on the Celtics’ highly-talented roster during his first two years in the NBA, it seems like that was more a result of his youth than any lack of talent.
