Tuesday will be a chilly and damp fall day for much of the Northland, as the system that entered the region Monday will be slow to move out. Throughout the day there will be blustery winds out of the northwest at 15-25 mph that will keep temperatures in the mid-40s at their warmest Tuesday afternoon, with some spots staying in the low 40s.
Rain totals will be greatest north of Highway 2, with some spots seeing up to three-quarters of an inch.
Showers will continue to slide out by Wednesday morning, and then the afternoon will feature cloudy skies and a still-chilly northwest breeze keeping temperatures in the mid-40s for another day. While it will dry out toward the latter part of the week, temperatures will be slow to rebound.
Lows will be around the freezing mark for Thursday morning,
