New Delhi: Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s largest cloud provider, brought much of the internet to a standstill on Monday after a technical error in one of its core systems triggered a chain reaction across hundreds of apps and platforms. From airlines to AI tools, banks to gaming apps, people across the world suddenly found that services they rely on every day had stopped working. Amazon says the issue has now been resolved, but the incident has once again raised concerns over how much of the internet depends on a single company’s cloud infrastructure.
