JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Lindsey Huff originally wanted to study business. While she was playing softball at Virginia Intermont, she got the bug to teach art and coach.

The Sullivan East graduate started teaching in Sullivan County. She was there for nine years and has spent the last seven at Fairmont Elementary in Johnson City.

In total, Huff has been teaching art for 16 years. "I love teaching art because I give students a place where they can be creative and step out of their comfort zone," Huff said. Bright colors fill her classroom, and so does Huff's positive energy as she makes her way from student to student.
