(KIMT) -- A teeth-chattering Tuesday is ahead of us with temperatures only slated to rise to the mid 40s in the afternoon.
The main driver of this wintry chill will be some strong northwesterly winds that will gust up to 40-50 MPH at times Tuesday.
A tight pressure gradient from a potent low pressure system to our north is to blame for these winds. The tighter the pressure gradient, the stronger the winds will be.
Due to these blustery conditions, a Wind Advisory will be in effect from 11 AM to 6 PM Tuesday. Driving will be difficult and Halloween decorations may fly away if not tied down correctly.
Tuesday will be an overcast day, which will lead to some convective showers. These showers will be very quick-hitting and will not produce much rainfall.
Winds will remain strong into Tues
