A New England community has been named the safest city in the country in a new report.

Finance site Wallethub released its list of Safest Cities in America for 2025 and Warwick, Rhode Island, was ranked No. 1. Also cracking the top five was Burlington, Vermont.

The ranking looked at more than 180 cities across the U.S., including the 150 most populated cities, using data to evaluate them for community and home safety, natural disaster risks and financial safety. It used data on things like traffic fatalities per capita, assaults per capita, the unemployment rate and percentage of the population that is uninsured.
