NORTHPORT, Ala. (WIAT) -- Northport police are conducting an investigation after a single-vehicle crash left a St. Clair County resident dead early Tuesday morning.

A crash was reported in the 4900 block of Alabama Highway 69 North around 1:37 a.m. Authorities arrived and located the single-vehicle crash off the roadway, on the east side of the highway, involving a Chevrolet. The driver, McKenzie Miller, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by Northport police.
