MERIDEN, Conn. — Six men have been arrested in connection with a "large scale internal theft" in Meriden .
Police said that in July of 2024, they started what ended up being a long-term investigation into a large-scale internal theft scheme that occurred at a retail store located in Meriden.
Police said the losses from the scheme are reasonably believed to have exceeded $250,000 and six people have been charged in the case since July of this year.
Meriden Police and the United States Secret Service’s Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force investigated the case. They worked with the loss prevention team from the business. Police said the suspects were involved in several different schemes to defraud the retail store of money and products.
