SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed four additional cases of measles in Spartanburg County since Friday, raising the state’s total to 23 cases so far in 2025. Of those, 20 are connected to the current outbreak centered in the Upstate.

According to DPH, two of the new cases were among individuals who were already quarantining at home due to prior exposure to known cases. Because they remained isolated before becoming contagious, officials say there were no new public exposures. The two other newly identified cases were linked to a Spartanburg business but also did not result in any public exposures, according to DPH.
