WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio, a Navy and Army veteran who served in Iraq, took aim at a Republican colleague from across Pennsylvania on Monday after he claimed Democrats “hate the military” and serve for personal advancement.
The GOP criticism — leveled by U.S. Rep. Scott Perry, a Harrisburg-area lawmaker and one of the most vulnerable members of Congress in next year’s midterm elections — came as tensions ran high during the extended federal government shutdown.
