MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A U-Haul minivan crashed into two cars before hopping the sidewalk and hitting a bus stop sign that fell on a pedestrian in Midtown on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The crash happened near East 57th Street and Madison Avenue at around 3 p.m.
The U-Haul driver rear-ended a yellow taxi before reversing and hitting a Toyota behind him and then careening onto the sidewalk, police said.
The minivan hit several structures, including three mailboxes, a LinkNYC kiosk, a fire hydrant, and a bus stop sign, according to the NYPD. The bus stop sign then hit a woman.
The woman, the taxi driver, a passenger in the Toyota, and the U-Haul driver were taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
