On Tuesday evening KGET and and The Open Door Network will host a candlelight vigil at Compassion Corner to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and at 5:30 p.m. at Compassion Corner -- the corner of 22nd and L streets -- survivors will share their stories and there will be a moment of silence in honor of victims.
Attendees are encouraged to bring photos or poster boards with photos of loved ones who died from domestic violence. Purple light -- the signature color of domestic violence awareness -- will be provided.
Everyone -- family, friends, survivors or supporters -- is welcome to attend the event.
You will be able to watch the event on KGET+ or on this webpage. Check back later and refresh this page for the live video player
