GLENDALE, Ariz. — Security footage released by Glendale police captures the disturbing moments when an armed robber assaulted the employee of a Valley store earlier this month.
The video released by police shows a man in a hooded sweatshirt walking into a store near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road armed with a knife on Oct. 7.
The store security cameras captured the robber leading the employee into a back room, where he forced the worker to open a locked drawer. During the robbery, the suspect is seen smacking the employee, knocking her to the ground.
After stealing money from the business, the robber left the area on foot, and the injured employee called 911.
"I just got jumped, I just got robbed," the store employee told the 911 dispatcher in a recording released by police.
