SOUTH MISSISSIPI (WLOX) - If you take any of the Coast Transit Authority routes, soon, you’ll start to see new changes at the bus stop.

The company is rolling out new bus stop signs across South Mississippi in an effort to modernize its system and improve rider experience.

Ahead of the end of the hail system , the updated signage features color-coded routes, coastal mascots and Stop IDs. Riders can reference their Stop ID when calling dispatch to easily identify their location and next bus arrival.

CTA partnered with Ocean Springs-based design firm Christie Fountain Advertising to create signage that’s both functional and full of character.
