NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Chipotle location in downtown New Haven appears to be in the process of reopening more than a year after it closed due to a rat infestation.

The location, which is on Chapel Street, closed in December of 2024 after complaints and videos of rodents inside the restaurant.

The city's health department said Chipotle reached out to them to get an inspection done. The city's fire department, building department and water pollution control authority will have to sign off before the health department can authorize an inspection to let the restaurant open again.
