ADRIAN and LUVERNE, MN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The post season began Tuesday night in Minnesota HS Football with Section play.

In 9-A, the Dragons of Adrian-Ellsworth traded early TD’s with the Coyotes of Heron Lake-Okabena in the first quarter. Mason Kirchner nd Bryce Nielson scored for the visitors but the home team responded after each score. Charger Erlanson and Jackson Jennings on a long kickoff return and the Dragons led 14-12 after one. They pulled away to win 35-24.

In Class 3-A, the Luverne Cardinals hosted Belle Plaine. They led 14-7 at half-time and Hendrik Bork’s TD increased the lead to 21-7 before Reed Creighton hit Luke Schultz for 6. But that was the final score, 21-14 Luverne as the Cardinals improve to 7-2 for the year.
