(KFVS) - Today will be another windy and sunny day across the Heartland.

Cassie Campbell says we can expect winds to gust near that 25 to 30 mph mark during the afternoon and early evening.

Tonight, clear skies and calmer winds will allow for temperatures to drop into the upper 30s overnight into tomorrow.

Frost Advisories are in effect for Jefferson and Hamilton counties in southern Illinois tomorrow morning. More widespread frost is expected on Friday morning.

High temperatures remain mostly in the 60s through the rest of the week.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the Heartland is trending drier.

A few scattered showers still look possible Friday and Saturday, but expect plenty of dry time.

Rain chances look more likely Sunday into the beginning of next week.
