Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a second arson attempt in two days targeting a commercial building in the Rivière-des-Prairies area.
On Wednesday, police received a 911 call at around 2 a.m. concerning an alarm in the building located on Henri-Bourassa Blvd. near Rodolphe-Forget Blvd.
“When police arrived on the scene, there was a small fire starting in the entrance of the business,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a SPVM media relations officer. “The police put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.”

According to initial information, Chèvrefils noted that one or more suspects allegedly smashed the glass front door and then set fire to the business entrance.
