DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — A group of Daviess County students experienced an unforgettable ending to their trip abroad — being inside the Louvre Museum on the same day as a heist.

According to a social media post, officials with Trinity High School in Whitesville said their final day in Paris turned out to be more eventful than expected.

The Traveling Classroom group visited the Louvre on October 19th, right as the robbery occurred.

The students were preparing to enter the Apollo Gallery when they were suddenly instructed to leave the area.

School officials say everyone in the group — both students and staff — is safe.
